What is the Symposium about and who is this for?

The theme of this symposium is on and around “Sustainable Infrastructure, Successful Economy – The Modern Day Challenges in Infrastructure Development and Delivery”. This is the largest gathering of technical and non- technical experts in the fields of infrastructure development and delivery from around the world in Fiji. Hear from and meet thought-provoking speakers from the world of infrastructure and beyond. Historically, this high level International Engineering Symposium Fiji would be the first of its kind to be taking place in the region. The main subject areas of discussion and deliberation will be on and around Infrastructure Planning, Spending & Financing, Replacement, Assessment, Insurance, Management & Maintenance, Public Private Partnership, Anti-Corruption and ISO 37001, Life Cycle Cost Analysis, Climate Change and Green Climate Fund, Global Outlook, Essential Infrastructure & Cyber Security, Recovery & Resilience, 100 Resilient Cities and Lessons from TC Winston. The aim of this Symposium is to “close” gaps in different sectors identified by the Global Infrastructure Outlook by providing government with essential information and therefore by extension raising the GDP of countries as well.  The top minds and organizations at the forefront of each of these topics are being invited to speak and so this Symposium is not only a spectacular meeting to share information and knowledge about infrastructure, but also a pivotal help to build an effective platform for communication and cooperation among the public and private sectors.

The target audience are insurance industry, utility service providers, engineers, planners, development partners, banking and insurance industries, contractors, academia and government regulators.
